I think Mathai Chacko’s Family is threatened by the Communist party leaders
His wife admits that Fr. Jose Kottayil had visisted mathai Chacko on his sick bed on the request of her brother and prayed for him, she doesn’t know whether it was anointing of the Sick or not. As a faithful she should have known it but she requests not to make it a big controversy.
Pinarayi and His Communist party attacks verbally and physically (St. Thomas College Pala attack) for the last 2 weeks. He Should be crushed down
THE LDF (Pinarayi and VS along with their kuttipattalam) WILL KNOW THE STRENGTH OF CATHOLIC CHURCH AND HER PRIESTS IN THE NEXT ELECTION. |

Pinarayi against Catholic Church on “Mathai Chacko - Anointi |
|
|
Pinarayi used very bad words against HE Mar Paul Chittilapally on “Mathai Chacko - Anointing of the Sick”
Fr. Jose Kottayil conferred the sacrament of “Anointing of the Sick” to former Communist party member Mr. Mathai Chacko on his and family request to HE Mar Paul Chittilapally. But now Pinarayi calls Bishop as “Nikrushtajeevi”…. And used many bad words on him. KCBC and many priests and dioceses responded.
Pinarayi and LDF should be crushed down in Kerala for the betterment of our state.
Those, who are with Communist party, who are in the responsible positions of the Catholic Church, should be avoided by the faithful.

We Pledge Support to Protect Minority Rights |
|
|
The movement to protect minority rights in Kerala has gained further momentum as the various Christian denominations in the state have united for the cause.
With the Orthodox Church pledging support to the Catholic Church, the efforts to safeguard minority rights in the state have all the more intensified.
Lauding the Catholic Church’s stand on the issue, the managing committee of Malankara Christian Association stated that it welcomed the stand taken by the various rites of the Catholic Church in Kerala.
The committee elaborated further that in this ongoing “struggle”, the Catholic Church would have the full support of the Orthodox Church.
It also asserted that it would not remain mere spectators to what it termed as an “assault on minority rights.”
Meanwhile, chairman of the Inter-Church Council for Education, Archbishop Mar Joseph Powathil in an interview with Frontline on July 21 stressed that the right to “administer” educational institutions which includes right to admissions, right to appoint teachers and the right to normal governance is a right guaranteed to minorities.
Highlighting the significance of education for Church, Archbishop Powathil opined, “Education is very important for us. Ours is a religion that has a certain creed, a certain moral code. That has to be transmitted to all our children. That is done basically through education.”
“Along with the subjects they study, we believe, our children should also imbibe the moral point of view, the vision of God that is connected to their faith”, he stated emphatically.
“We can transmit our vision of life and morality only through education, what the Constitution-makers called the culture attached to religion just like the culture attached to a language”, affirmed the Archbishop.
Archbishop Powathil further pointed out that linguistic and religious minorities were granted the freedom to establish and administer schools of their own as a fundamental right.
Responding to the question that the Christian community in Kerala is the most advanced, Archbishop said, “Educationally we have progressed, that is true. But there are a lot of poor people in our midst too. There is poverty in our parishes too. Maybe 30 to 35 per cent of the people may be all right, but others are poor.” |

Involvement of lay people in Catholic Church |
|
|
Lay people should be included in many activities of the church.
All the self-financing colleges should include educated lay people in their governing body and admission and fees procedures should be discussed with them.
Financial section of the diocese should include well qualified lay people and it may help for the transparence of the transactions in the diocese. |
